Whoa, Flashback!
Profile: Kurt, Age 48
It's tough to explain exactly what I want in a life long mate but I will know when I find her. I like to go out on occasion and spend time with good friends. Also like to golf and it is a passion and will not give it up. I have a life, I am not looking for someone to make a life for me but it would be nice to spend some time with that one that is close to my heart, and see where it goes.
I'm not looking for someone who drinks too much, I don't have a problem if you drink, i just don't want to deal with an alcoholic, I've been down that road and I don't need to put myself thru that again. I have a child who is #1 on my priority list and that is something you must understand. I will not bring my child into the picture until I know for sure that we have a releationship that is going somewhere because there has been enough hurt just with the divorce. There may be times when I have to change plans because of my child-please don't be upset. I will do my best to please both.
LoveHowTo Dating Analyst’s Take:
Kurt too would benefit from reading his draft before posting it. He starts off with an honest statement about how hard it is to explain what he wants in a life-long mate – fair enough - and then immediately switches into a defensive flashback on what has apparently been a painful divorce. He tells us what he won’t put up with and what he won’t do (“golf is a passion and will not give it up.”) But no one asked Kurt to give up golf, unless it was his ex-wife. But do we want to hear all about that failed relationship in this profile? Kurt is venting here a lot more than he is trying to find someone new.
