The advantage of a younger man? He finds you fascinating. You’re younger than his mom (hopefully!), but like her you have wisdom and experience that go beyond his. And your goodnight stories are oh so much hotter!
According to Dating the Younger Man: A Complete Guide to Every Woman’s Sweetest Indulgence by Cyndi Targosz, “Your experience is exciting!” Cyndi pep talks directly to her older-woman readers and paints a mostly rosy picture of rapt listening. She surveyed younger men and found that they not only welcome advice from their women, but that they “cling to your every word”! They’ve had it with whiney, self-absorbed younger women. They’re willing to listen, and crave some intellectual stimulation to make it worthwhile.Cyndi calls her approach the “Boy Toy Program,” which may be taking it a bit far. The best younger man-older woman relationships don’t involve an age disparity of more than seven or eight years, and four to six is optimal. If you’re marveling that he hadn’t yet hit puberty when you were already on marriage #1, that’s just wrong. By the way, the same goes for older man-younger woman match-ups, too. Gross is gross.
You don’t have to live within rigid rules or societal constraints, but you do have to be comfortable. If you think you look too old to attract a younger man, or you’re too tired to contemplate keeping up with one, or you just generally don’t feel good about yourself, well, it’s probably not the best time to seek out young manflesh and all that goes with it.
Yes, the sex is different with a younger man: a woman in her sexual prime can show a man new ways and revel in how quickly he catches on and ramps it up. And oh, that younger body! No crepey skin, cellulite or a chest that cries out for Frank Costanza’s "manssiere." No big bottle of little blue pills. Let’s just leave it at that.
So where do you find these guys? Cyndi suggests the following:
- Cybercafés (really? Do they still have those? She probably means wireless hot spots)
- Hardware stores
- Public places like grocery stores, laundromats and bookstores
- The car wash
- Billiard rooms
You might also consider:
- Fast food places
- Electronics stores
- Hiking
- Craigslist
- Dating sites generally (but especially Cragislist)
The search is definitely worth it. It takes a special breed of man to date an older woman, someone self-confident, ready to play at a higher level, to engage more fully with the woman in his life. This means he’s looking for the same from you, which should come as a great relief. If it doesn’t, well, maybe you should stick to older men.
